Dear Wharton graduates and friends:

Welcome to the Wharton Global Alumni Forum - Santiago 2005, that with no doubt, will turn into a memorable and great opportunity to join other Wharton alumni, faculty, prominent company managers and interesting speakers.

Since last year we have been preparing an amazing agenda for this event, that will take place for the first time in Santiago, Chile. Among others, we have invited Chile’s President Ricardo Lagos Escobar and outstanding panelists like Daniel Kaufmann, Oscar Fanjul and Brazilian football star Pelé.I still recall during my first year at Wharton, more than 20 years ago, that Chile was only a country “south of the Rio Grande”. Latin America was known for military coups, extreme poverty, soccer players and corruption , but this perception has changed lately.

The meeting’s core subject “Leadership in an Ever-changing and Global World” will surely allow us to share interesting experiences of our region and how we have positioned ourselves in a global “informed” world.On behalf of the entire Organizing Committee, we welcome and invite you to discover what the Santiago Wharton Global Alumni Forum will have to offer.
